Record score

THE Australian Junior National Wheelchair Basketball Championships were held in Queensland last month with NSW defeating Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria to claim the national title.
NSW went through the round robin undefeated, then simply slaughtered WA by 99-20 in a one-sided grand final.
As a result, the Blues had a large number of players chosen in the Australian All-Star team.
Bill Latham, 16, who plays for the Penrith Panthers in the Sydney Basketball League, grabbed a national titles point-scoring record in the grand final against WA, finishing with a personal tally of 59 points and 37 rebounds.
Latham however, modestly attributed his scoring feats to the unselfish efforts of his team-mates.
Players chosen in the Australian team were Josh Horner and Coby Crispin (Queensland), Dylan Allcott, Jason Brant and Brian Owens(Victoria), Ben Wright, Kim Robins (WA), Paul Ashley, John McPhail, Sharnie Grazules, Shawn Russell and Bill Latham (NSW), with Latham also appointed captain.
